Golden Syrup Pudding

  • 125g butter
  • 125g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup golden syrup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1.5 cups flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 cup golden syrup to finish

Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (5-10 minutes)

Add eggs one at a time while mixing

Then add golden syrup and continue mixing.

Add milk and mix again

Then add flour and mix through.

Spoon mixture into a cake tin and bake until golden on top and a skewer inserted comes out clean

While the pudding is still hot drizzle golden syrup over the top. Serve with double cream
